The driving side of Mike's music from the get go, really had a fascination for us. It's layering and building, almost like combustion of indeed flames of a fire really hit a mark with me. It reminded me of the early passionate throes of a relationship. The obsession of which makes you question yourself and drives you forward, in almost a nutty way. The mix of happiness and sadness, a beautiful melancholy if you will, is something I wanted to portray and understand.

The music really helped me delve into that side of our psyche. The release of the 2nd verses lyrics and the statement of the third, are also a way of resolving the dizziness of infatuation and obsession.
